Now that she’s been granted overnight privileges and more visitation rights to her two sons, the pop princess is going house hunting so that her sons’ stays with her will be safe and awesome! Read: child-friendly =) Britney Spears is apparently on the lookout for greener, quieter surroundings, as revealed on court documents filed last June 30, 2008. The court papers have shown that Britney Spears is looking for a house with a larger backyard that is closer recreation areas for her two children. BBC News reports:

Britney Spears is looking for a new home with extra outdoor space for her children to play in and more privacy, court records have revealed. Documents show the 26-year-old wants a property closer to parks for Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one. The star has stipulated she wants a “less trafficked” home than her current Beverly Hills house, which is constantly stalked by paparazzi.

The pop star’s father, James, has already requested the sale of $7 million LA house in mid-June, and a court commissioner agreed. James Spears is still acting as Britney’s conservator until now.

WOW! Now that’s certainly a very delicious rumor! Yes darlings, it seems that Britney Spears may get another chance in performing at the MTV Video Music Awards this year! Nothing has been confirmed, but reports state that she may even actually open up the VMAs =) Britney Spears performed at the VMAs last year doing her single, “Gimme More.” It ended up being one of the most highly-talked about moments on TV throughout 2007 for her lackluster performance.

MTV has already stated that the VMAs will take place live from the Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, and will air on September 7th. Let’s wait and see if Britney Spears will indeed open up the fun awards event. With her toned body and smooth moves, we’re definitely gonna see a better performance from her! And if MTV wants to top the VMAs’ 7.1 million viewers last year, a performance from Britney is a surefire way to attract viewers!

The pop princess’ comeback album is REALLY under way and according to the producer with whom she is working, its songs are “real aggressive”. Rodney Jerkins, who created hits with TLC (No Scrubs) and Brandy, is collaborating with Britney Spears for the first time in seven years. And he says the new material is “very dance-y, very up-tempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy…very, very hook-friendly.” He further adds that Britney Spears is a fast worker and that he plans to reinvent her sound for the 2009 release. Oh yeah!!! =)

Mr. Jerkins shared, “It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song. She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 — did the whole song — in and out. … I love working with her. I’m just trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project.” They have been working together for four weeks and Mr. Jerkins says that Britney Spears is on a new path to success. “I was very happy to see that she was working on the positive side and she’s moving toward new things now. I think it’s about to be her time again.”

And it goes something like– “dark period of Britney’s [and Jamie Lynne’s for that matter!] life - from a mother’s eyes.” Lynne Spears’ new book will apparently be titled “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.” She has been reportedly writing the book for a year but had to take time off to deal with older daughter Britney Spears’ meltdown and her youngest teenage daughter, Jamie Lynn Spears, getting pregnant out of wedlock. Lynne was like, ” ‘I can’t write a book right now. I’ve got to take care of my family.’ ”

Us Weekly says her memoir will be “useful for moms who will read it and say, ‘I can see myself in those same shoes.’ ” Yeah, like every mom has Britney Spears for a daughter, lol! Aside from this book, there’s another one coming out about the pop princess. According to the New York Post, reporter Ian Halperin plans to pitch “Stalking Britney: Under Siege With Britney Spears” to publishers next week. It’s expected to be a more lurid account of the troubled singer.

..but they’re not together! E! News reports that the pop singer has flown into Las Vegas last Thursday, after visiting her kids in Studio City. However, no one is too sure of what is the purpose of the trip. Is it bcoz she wants to bump into Kevin Federline? Britney Spears has so far been seen at the Palms Hotel, but a source said that she was not there for a recording session nor a performance with the Pussycat Dolls. The source also said that it is indeed “not a business trip.” According to People, Britney Spears is there to celebrate with her father, Jamie Spears, for the Father’s Day weekend.

As mentioned, her ex-hubby Kevin Federline is also in town. He received a Father of the Year award at the famous Vegas nightclub, Privé. We thought we’d heard everything when Dina Lohan received her Top Mom award last month, and now K-Fed as Father of the Year?? Yup, his paternal duties in light of his ex-wife Britney Spears’ personal turmoil has earned him the right to be called the Father of the Year. TSK!! The wannabe rapper arrived at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas two hours late last night to accept his award at the Prive Nightclub.
