Fresh from her divorce settlement and gaining new ground in her custody battle for her two sons, the pop princess took time out last Saturday night and helped out Generation Rescue. The said organization is dedicated to researching autism, and is Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey’s baby. The two held a fundraiser last Saturday and Britney Spears was there to lend a hand. A partygoer of the Snow Queen Vodka-sponsored party at the Carrey’s home in Brentwood said, “She [Britney Spears]] looked great and seemed really happy. She smiled and clapped during the video about autism. She was very into the information and watched a little bit of the dancers from Dancing with the Stars, sneaking out during one of the performances.”

However, Britney Spears didn’t party like the rest of the guests [Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez apparently danced all night]. The singer just kept close to her assistant Brett and didn’t speak to other guests. Generation Rescue follows a mission to “continue to discover and share the truth with families about the potential cause of their child’s Neurological Disorders so they can focus on effective treatments.” Global Health Trax President & CEO Tom Dixson told press: “We admire and praise the autism community and Jenny McCarthy for their inspiring passion and commitment to find help for this heart-breaking disorder.”

Lynne Spears has been out in the west coast for several days and has been busy attending business matters. But now, the mother of two pop stars, was seen enjoying a little mother/daughter bonding time with her eldest daughter Britney Spears. And boy, does the pop princess look happy! =) According to a People.com report, the mother and daughter bonded during an overnight visit with Britney Spears’ sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, at her luxurious Studio City home last July 12.

The previous day, the pretty ladies went on a shopping spree at the True Religion warehouse and Pottery Barn before dining out at Bond St. restaurant with two of Britney Spears’ girl friends. A witness told People, “Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff. She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends.”

Ever since the pop princess had personal troubles, the “Passion of the Christ” filmmaker has been a source of support and encouragement for her. And now he took her on vacation, WOW! Pays to have rich friends eh?? A source revealed, “They’re [Britney Spears, her dad, Mel and family] just going away for a few days to relax.” The two were first spotted out and about together this past March while dining at Studio City’s Romanov restaurant.

After her very successful first appearance on the sitcom, the pop star has been welcomed back to reprise her role as clueless receptionist Abby. Britney Spears has just finished filming and this is what she has to say: “I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn’t wait to come back. I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again.” In her statement, released a day before, she also also added: “Everyone was so nice. Abby is going to have a lot of fun!”

According to US magazine reports, “This time around, Britney Spears’ lovable but ditzy Abby no longer pines for Ted (Josh Radnor). She falls for Barney (Neil Patrick Harris).” If you remember, the actor’s statements about Brit’s first guesting was misunderstood. As reported, Jamie Lynn Spears has thrown a baby shower on Saturday at her parent’s Serenity mansion, in her and big sister Britney Spears’ hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. It was a family affair Saturday as Jamie was feted with an intimate baby shower. A source revealed, “Jamie Lynn opened every gift. We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old-fashioned baby shower.” For sure, Britney Spears’ sister won’t be lacking in gifts as she registered for baby stuff in Babies ‘R Us since last March. The source adds that her mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge’s mother lent a hand in opening the gifts. The presence of the former pop star caused a major security headache.
